goal
The aim of SKA was to combine the fields of speech recognition, natural language processing
and animation to allow control of a virtual character through the use of voice.
location
The work was undertaken at York University (England) as a final year disseration. The
paper received a first class grading, is viewable online here and can be downloaded here.
results
The project was successful, in that a virtual character could be navigated
around the environment in which it was situated. The limitations, feasibility and
applicability of the application are discussed during the dissertation itself.
